Math
Currently Pomelo CCS and Pomelo A & S both utilize a suite of math resources provided by LA Unified to facilitate exciting and engaging learning opportunities for our students. We believe in differentiation, in meeting students where they are, in allowing them to develop their thinking in harmony with their development. Whether they need more time to explore and fully understand a certain concept via hands-on modeling, or they are ready for abstract reasoning and equations, our teachers work hard to ensure students are challenged and progressing -- regardless of beginning level. While Eureka Math is our main curriculum, many teachers have chosen to enrich and extend learning with other resources. We truly are thrilled that our students have so many options to choose from!
Math Kangaroo
Math Kangaroo Competition is an annual international math competition. It is the largest math competition in the world with more than 6 million participants annually, from over 80 countries. On March 17, 2022, our very own 3rd, 4th and 5th Pomelo Panthers participated in this competition Woodland Hills Academy.
