Ballroom Dance

Congratulations to our 4th and 5th grade competitors for earning third place!

Pomelo Community CS is proud to participate in Ballroom Dance with Once Upon a Dance (OUD) Company. 

OUD works directly with elementary schools in the Los Angeles Unified School District to provide a social and ballroom dance program to 4th and 5th grade students. The program is designed to promote effective learning techniques and healthy behavioral patterns through the art of dance. 

Over the 20--week program, students master complicated dances such as the merengue, tango, salsa, and swing dance, all the while learning important life lessons. At the end of the year, students have an opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned in front of family and friends at the Ballroom Competition at the end of the year.
