After-School Programs

Beyond the Bell – Youth Services

After-school supervised play is offered for students in grades 2-5 from dismissal until 6:00 pm through LAUSD’s Beyond the Bell Youth Services Program.  Students in grades TK-1 are not eligible to remain on the yard, even if the child has an older sibling at Pomelo. Attendance is not taken, and students do not sign in and out. The same code of conduct that is practiced during the school day is required in our after-school program. Students should be picked up by 5:45 pm.

For students to participate, parents must complete the Youth Services application and return it to the Office.

For extended hours and a program that provides supervision for all grades, including TK, Kindergarten and 1st grade, you may contact Pomelo’s YMCA afterschool program at (818) 426-7151. YMCA hours are 7:00–7:45a.m. and after school until 6:00 p.m.
